FIRST TIME
DRIVER
You have successfully passed your Learner Driver Licence test and you’re ready to get behind the wheel. It can be a little daunting for some at first. Always remember you have someone experienced next to you who will help you to make it a pleasant and successful experience.
Your first lesson will begin in an area with very little traffic, gradually building up your skill level and confidence.

What you will learn:

How to operate a car - starting the engine, adjusting your mirrors, selection of gears etc

Steering methods

Positioning at corners and where to look when turning corners

Manoeuvres - 3 point turn, U turns

How to indicate and approach roundabouts

Lane changes including checking of blind spot area

RESTRICTED
LICENCE
You have had a little experience on the road and you want to prepare for the Restricted Licence Test. The New-Zealand Restricted Drivers Licence test has become far more comprehensive in recent times. The level of competency and confidence required to be successful has been raised. We will ensure you have the skills, competence and confidence to successfully pass your test.

What you will learn:

Using your rear vision mirrors

Safety rain, hail or shine – driving in all weather conditions

Road awareness – searching well ahead, recognising potential problems early giving you more time to react

Manoeuvring the car – parallel parking, angle parking, reversing, 3 point turns or u-turns

Navigating roundabouts – how to indicate and successfully negotiate them with ease
-
Following distances
-
Driving on the motorway – lane changes and what you need to pay attention to while driving at higher speeds alongside other road users
-
The importance of being courteous to other road users or how certain attitudes effect your driving.

FULL
LICENCE
Sitting the Full Drivers Licence means you are ready to take the final step towards ultimate freedom. You are now more experienced as a driver but only if you have spent a great deal of time behind the wheel. At this level its all about being fluent in your decision making, showing you have good overall road awareness and being able to handle yourself if all traffic situations. Drive4Life will help you to perfect your driving skills.

REFRESHER
COURSE
There are many reasons a refresher course can be helpful. Drive4Life will help you regain your confidence. We will go over all aspects of driving with you until you feel ready to go out on your own.

OVERSEAS
CONVERSION
Driving in a foreign country can be a little daunting. At Drive4Life we will help you become acquainted with the New Zealand road rules and driving conditions so you are ready to pass the Overseas Converstion Test with confidence.
Your test will be somewhat similar to a New-Zealand full Licence test.
